Have you ever heard the saying “you are what you eat.” I am sure that everyone has heard that saying at least once in their life. Well, in all honesty, that statement could not be any more of a fact! When you feed your body foods that are low in nutritional value and low in vitamins you will eventually feel the side effects. For instance, eating a lot of junk food will eventually make you feel like your body belongs in a junk yard. You will feel unenergetic and lifeless. So what are some of the ingredients which can create a delicious and health boosting meal?
Salmon is a great start to any healthy meal. This particular food is loaded with good fats, protein, and omega 3s. For those people who don’t know, omegas 3’s are vital for healthy weight loss, improved brain health and cardiovascular health. Salmon is also low in calories and in carbohydrates, that is what makes this particular fish a great addition to any meal. Spinach is yet another food that is beaming with beneficial factors. This particular green is packed with phytonutrients, vitamins, and fiber. All of which are beneficial for your overall health. Brown rice is also a great health boosting food. It provides our bodies with essential vitamins and fiber.
When creating a meal out of these ingredients remember not to use fattening butters or other spreads. Depending on how you wish to prepare your meal, a great cooking ingredient is olive oil. One hundred percent pure olive oil has numerous health benefits and it is far better for you than butter. So the next time you feel like your diet has taken a turn for the worse, try incorporating some of these healthy foods into your dinner plan.
